Kara McClure is an attorney with Bergkamp, Hemphill and McClure, P.C. Prior to joining Bergkamp, Hemphill and McClure, Kara was a trial attorney in Des Moines for six years. She has experience with a general practice in trial law, including employment law, insurance defense, personal injury (plaintiff and defense), probate, and business and commercial law. Kara’s practice focuses on family law, and she is able to assist people as either an attorney or a mediator in family law cases.

As an attorney, Kara has experience representing family law clients for more than five years. She has represented both plaintiffs and respondents/defendants in family law cases, and both male and female clients. Kara advises clients on matters including divorce and dissolution of marriage concerns; child custody, visitation, and support issues; and post-decree compliance, enforcement, and modifications. Kara has also been appointed to represent minor children during custody proceedings.

As a certified mediator, Kara has completed the requisite training to provide mediation services to family law attorneys and to people in family disputes.
